Program: Summer Math Camp for High School
Goals:
- Make up lost time due to “COVID slide”
- Build solid math foundation to continue college
Location: 3188 Southern Blvd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124 (between Golf Course & Sara)
Program Descriptions:
- Step One:
- Target a math course for remediation (Algebra I, II, Geometry, or Trigonometry)
- Student takes a course assessment pre-test to locate any missing skills
- Personalized Lesson plan to address missing skills identified by assessment pre-test
- Tutor teaches student one-on-one using lesson plan from assessment pre-test
- Drill exercises aligned with lesson plan to practice math skills just learnt
- Step Two:
- Student takes a course assessment post-test to locate any skill not truly mastered
- Personalized lesson plan to address skills identified by assessment post-test
- Tutor teaches student one-on-one using lesson plan from assessment post-test
- Drill exercise aligned with lesson plan to practice math skills just learnt
- Step Three: (Optional)
- Target a course to prepare for next year (Algebra II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus)
- Student takes a course assessment pre-test to locate any missing skills
- Personalized Lesson plan to address missing skills identified by assessment pre-test
- Tutor teaches student one-on-one using lesson plan from assessment pre-test
- Drill exercises aligned with lesson plan to practice math skills just learnt
Program Schedule1 (Starts on June 7th and ends on July 30th)
Each session last 2 hours
- Session A: Morning, (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
- Session B: Afternoon, (Monday, Wednesday, Friday)
- Session C: Morning, (Tuesday, Thursday)
- Session D: Afternoon, (Tuesday, Thursday)
Cost:
- $99.00/week (6 instructional hours/week) session A or B
- $75.00/week (4 instructional hours/week) session C or D
Fee includes all tutoring, curriculum, tests, homework assignments, and supply
