2018 Summer Program

Program:                    Summer Math Camp (Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II)

Location:                     3188 Southern Blvd. SE, Rio Rancho, NM 87124 (between Golf Course & Sara)

Program content and goal: Students can choose enrichment programs covering following three math courses, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, and Algebra II. Students who follow instructions and finish the program are expected to attain grade level math proficiency and are expected to raise one letter grade in math next school year.

Program Descriptions and Specifics:

  • Student takes an adaptive assessment test to locate any prerequisite skill gap to the math course
  • Lesson plan tailored to the very student to remediate any missing math skills identified by prerequisite assessment test
  • Tutors teach students one-on-one per lesson plan from prior assessment test
  • After student finishes “pre-requisite missing skill recovery lesson plan”, student takes a course specific adaptive assessment test to create a lesson plan to re-teach any math lessons in the very math course student needs remediation with
  • Tutors teach students one-on-one per lesson plan from prior assessment test
  • Student is expected to fully master the math course after finishing summer math camp program

Program Schedule and Activity:

  • 4 sessions per week to choose from, 4 weeks in June and 4 weeks in July (student can attend from 1-8 weeks)
  • Session A: 9:30am to 11:45am 2.25 hours per day, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 6 instructional hours per week
  • Session B: 9:30am to 11:45am 2.25 hours per day, Tuesday, Thursday, 4 instructional hours per week
  • Session C: 1:00pm to 3:15pm 2.25 hours per day, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 6 instructional hours per week
  • Session D: 1:00pm to 3:15pm 2.25 hours per day, Tuesday, Thursday, 4 instructional hours per week
  • No class on Independence Day, make-up session arranged
  • A 15 minute break between first and second hour

Cost:   

Session A & C: $99.00 per student per week (6 instructional hours)

Session B & D: $75.00 per student per week (4 instructional hours)

Students can choose any number of sessions and different sessions among several weeks

All tuition fees are pre-paid. Fee includes all tutoring, curriculum, tests, assignments, and supply.

Class Size: Minimum 3 students to form class (space is limited)

Targeted Students: 7th grade and higher
